The Institute is the brain-child of Dr. Promodu, a Sexologist to be more precise Sex Therapist & Clinical Psychologist by profession.As a sexologist he is well known through out the world.Dr. Promodu started practicing as a sexologist in kerala from1990. He possesses 28 years of experience in field of sexology especially in treatmenting sexual dysfunction including all sort of sexual problems. Besides sexology practice he is a researcher also. Dr. Promodu brought the field of sexology into limelight in kerala. In the capacity of sexologist he has published research articles in the various National & International journals. He has presented his research work in various international conferences

Training

Dr.Promodu has been trained in sex therapy by the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors & Therapists and also by the Council of Sex Education & Parenthood International (India).

Positions held earlier

• Dr.Promodu served as faculty in the postgraduate Department of Psychiatry, Government Medical College, Calicut, Kerala in 2002(on leave now).
• Served as faculty for postgraduate and undergraduate levels, Consultant in the Department of Sex Therapy and Clinical Psychology at the Sacred Heart Hospital, Paynkulam, Kerala, from 1993 to 2001.
• Worked as Consultant Clinical Psychologist in the Dept. of Psychiatry in Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church Medical Mission Hospital & Medical College, Kolenchery, Ernakulam from 1990 to 1992. 

Awards & Achievements

• For the contributions in the field of Clinical Psychology and Sexual Health he was awarded the R.K. Kishore Young Scientist Award in 2002 by the Indian Association of Clinical Psychologists.
• Bagged the best paper award for the research work on male sexual dysfunction at the National Conference of Sexology, Mumbai in 2002.
• Presented "Rathisukhasare" the first scientific sexual health programme on Asianet television for more than a year.
•  Dr. Promodu is also active in electronic and print media in sexual health literacy. He is a trainer and resource person in sexual health workshops and seminars.

• "Penile length and circumference of Indian males" presented at the First Asia Pacific Conference of Sexology, Mumbai in 2004.
• "Male sexual dysfunction in Kerala" presented at the 28th Annual National Conference of India Association of Clinical Psychologists in 2002.
• "Profile of male erectile dysfunction in Kerala" was presented at the National Conference of Sexology Mumbai, in 2002.
