Peyronie’s disease is characterized by the formation of a plaque, or hard lump, within the penis. It can be developed on any side of the penis under the membrane called tunica albuginea. The plaque begins as a localized inflammation and develops as a hardened scar. It can lead to curvature of the penis causing pain. During erections patient can experience pain. For unmarried people or those who live alone it is considered as a normal activity that will help to release sexual tension. In certain people fast regular masturbation may cause premature ejaculation by habituation. Usually masturbation doesn cause any other health problems.
