Manilal K.Menon  Asked on 11/08/13 08:02:46 PM

Ans:

We have seen and successfully treated so many couples married for several years without having sexual intercourse. This condition is called unconsummated marriage. The couple with longest duration I have seen is of 22 years.  Non consummation of marriage can occur due to several reasons. It is due to problems related to either husband, wife or both. Male problems such as erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, Sexual desire disorder, dyspareunia, phimosis, peyronies disease and female problems such as absence of sexual desire, sexual arousal disorder, dyspareunia, sexual aversion disorder, vaginismus etc can cause non consummation of marriage. Other psychological problems such as adjustment problems, marital conflicts or dislike towards the partner also can lead to such conditions. How ever nothing to worry about it. With modern investigative and treatment modalities  we can identify the cause and treat it successfully.

Ans:

It is known as male orgasmic dysfunction. You are not able to experience the pleasure during ejaculation. Often it is psychological problem. Usually men with depression are not able to achieve an orgasm. Problems like depressive cognition, negative attitude, mental stress, obsessive traits etc can impair the orgasmic response. Normally, it is a difficult condition to treat. How ever there is treatment for the same.

Ans:

There are different causes for premature ejaculation. This may be due to infection, inflammation, hypersensitivity, habituation or any other factors. First the etiology should be identified. Treatment may vary from medication to sex therapy or a combination of both based on the etiological factors. To decide the treatment you need to undergo a clinical evaluation including physical examination and investigations. With out that it cannot be treated. Definitely there is a cure for this problem. So please consult a doctor practicing modern medicine.

Q:

Dear Doctor , A week and 5 days ago I went on vacation and had sex with a woman , vaginal was with condom and oral was without. I did not ejaculate during intercourse so I finished off by myself in the shower. I might have inserted a finger in her vagina and then touched my uncovered penis as well but I dont exactly remember. Two days after the incident I returned back from vacation and immediately , like right after landing , got the sniffles but I thought it was quite common due to change in weather conditions. I also masturbated after reaching home , I masturbate in the prone position. Anyways three days later ( masturbated for all 3 days) I felt a slight tingling ( more like a tiny prick not painful at all and just fleeting ) in the top of my penis, near the opening, more a little towards the left, usually while Im sitting. I had been worrying about catching an STD ever since I had sex with her so Im not sure if I felt the tingling because of my paranoia or if it is really there, it only happens when Im getting worried about getting an STD or start concentrating on my penile area. I joined work the next day and came down with a runny nose and little bit of tiredness and cough so I took some multivitamin tablets and an antibiotic known as Klavox 1g - clavulanate-potentiated amoxycillin. After I took this the tingling really hasnt gone I can still feel it if I think about it and sometime when Im sitting I think I feel it in the shaft but I have noticed one small pea sized lump at the base of my penis a little to the left. It doesnt hurt unless I really press hard on it and it is invisible and other than the slight itchy feeling I get because of my pubic hair moving against it there is no pain Could this be a cyst or a reaction to the condom ? I read about this tingling feeling on other forums or posts on this site and see stuff like gonorrhea and herpes and it scares me. I feel like Im getting new symptoms but I cant be too sure. I feel the need to urinate quite a bit as I feel like there is still some urine left but not sure if it is because Im now obsessed about finding out if anything is wrong with my penis. It still doesnt burn when I pee and there are no discharges from the penis, no pain and no other STD symptoms but today I did notice that the skin looks dry when I pulled the foreskin down , it looks normal now because the dry skin has come off. When Id pull the foreskin back and forth the dry skin would just roll off. The lump too it seems to me has reduced in size. Ive stopped taking the antibiotic as well because it made me feel like my anus was leaking even though there were no discharges. It also burns a bit when I poop and I think it might be a bit red in that area but Im not sure if its because I had spicy food or if it was because of the antibiotic or if it was another STD symptom. Please do reply at the earliest and let me know if there is something to worry about as this is causing me a lot of distress and please let me know if you do tests for STD at your clinic .
