If any of the partners is not satisfied we can assume that there is a problem. Inability to control the ejaculation may be due to several reasons. Sometimes this may be a habit. In some other cases such problems may be due to infection, inflammation, hypersensitivity, or any other factors. First we have to find out the cause. Treatment may vary from medication to sex therapy or a combination of both based on the causes. To plan the treatment you need to undergo a clinical evaluation including physical examination and investigations. Based on the results it can be successfully treated.

Diabetes mellitus can cause smooth muscle dysfunction which leads to ED. It has to be investigated to find out the extent of this problem. Depending on the test findings treatment can be planned. In certain cases medicines are very effective. In some other cases medicines may not be effective. If  these methods are not effective penile prosthesis implant operation is the best and life long solution. We have done this operation for more than 150 people.  Most of them are elderly persons with diabetes. Hence, there is complete solution for your problem. Please consult an andrologist experienced in treating such conditions.

Q:

Sir, I am 30yr old man & working in abroad. I am worried about my penis, that has downward serious culvature. I am not sure, that I can intercourse with woman. Now my family is started finding a lifepartner. But I am deliberately avoiding all alliance. What I should do?

Arun  Asked on 04/22/14 12:22:25 AM

Ans:

Usually the curvature of penis occurs due to the development of plaques inside the penis. It will lead to curvature and pain during erections. You may be able to feel a hard area on the penis at the site of the curvature or on the opposite side. This condition is known as Peyronies disease. If it is at the early stage it can be treated with medicines. Otherwise you may need a surgery to remove the plaques. It all depends on the extent and severity of the disease. In our hospital we do scanning and other relevant investigations before planning any treatment. Depending on the results we plan the treatment. In certain cases if the plaque is large and situated in the corpus cavernosa or corpus spongiosum there is a risk of losing erectile ability as a complication of the surgery. One can predict any such risk after appropriate evaluation. Before planning any surgery this has to be considered and sufficient precaution should be taken to solve if any such emergency occurs. You can consult an andrologist for this treatment.

Q:

Can i get a convertion therapy for homosexuality?

SREEJITH V  Asked on 04/22/14 01:12:42 AM

Ans:

Homosexuality is of two types. The first is ego syntonic in which the individual enjoy and it doesn cause any mental stress to the person. Second type is ego dystonic in which the individual feels mental agony and distress about his own homosexual behaviour and hence wants to change it. No treatment is indicated for the first group. Ego dystonic homosexuality can be treated if the individual has a genuine motivation to change his behaviour.

Treatment is indicated only if the person has any discomfort or problem due to his own homosexual tendency or behaviour. The desire to change the orientation should not be due to others (family, friends, religion etc) pressure. Treatment will be successful only if the person has a very genuine and consistent motivation to change his behavior. There is no medicine to change the sexual orientation. Treatment is psychological using techniques of sex therapy based on cognitive behavioural principles. Usually we don take any homosexuals for treatment. But we have treated a few men with genuine motivation and they recovered.

Ans:

Usually night emission is not considered as a disease. When a boy reaches the adolescent age night emission begins as a sign of maturity.  It indicates that he has achieved reproductive ability. The frequency is more till the age of 25 to 30 yrs, after that frequency decreases. If the person engages in regular masturbation or sexual contacts night emission may not occur very frequently. If there is any pain, burning sensation or discomfort after ejaculation there may be a chance for infection or inflammation of prostate gland or seminal vesicles. In such condition treatment is required.

Q:

Dear sir, I have night emission since 1 & 1/2 year (weekly twice) ...and i think i have also premature ejaculation(wth in 30 sec).. shoul i take treament or whta is the treatment..?

Binu  Asked on 04/23/14 12:47:04 PM

Ans:

Your problem appears to be a severe premature ejaculation. From the description it seems to be an organic problem rather than psychogenic. In your case it may be due to some infection. First the etiology should be identified. Treatment may vary from medication to sex therapy or a combination of both based on the etiological factors. To decide the treatment you need to undergo physical examination and investigations. Based on the findings it can be treated and cured. Sometimes you may need the help of different specialists. You can consult in a hospital where all facilities are available.
